Aaliyah Swithinbank

Aaliyah was born with mosaic Edwards syndrome and omphalocele. A couple of months after her 1st birthday we were sadly told she had stage 3 pretext 4 hepatoblastoma which required chemotherapy and a liver transplant, which was successful.  

Aaliyah is now 4 and a half years old and is in main stream school attending full time nursery and is doing very well. We were told from the start that Aaliyah didn’t have much chance of survival, but she fought strong and proved them all wrong. Here is my beautiful little girl full of life, healthy and very happy.
