My daughter Grace Emily was stillborn at 28 weeks in May 2000 with full Trisomy 18.

We were living in Thailand when she was diagnosed so information wasn’t available to me until I returned to the UK. Following her birth and before I left the hospital I was visited by a wonderful grief counsellor who told me about SOFT.

My first contact was one of the founding members Christine Rose and from that day forward the charity has been part of my life. As a family we have always supported Soft in any fundraising opportunities.

More recently I have taken to fundraising myself running Half Marathons and hosting events for my friends and family. I often take part in the Zoom coffee evenings and I was delighted when I was asked to join the charity as a Trustee.

I hope to continue my fundraising activities both individually and on a charity wide basis.
